SPOILER ALERT!
Book Review : The virgin novelist Meghan Quin
Jan 24 - 25
From USA Today Bestselling Author Meghan Quinn, comes a hilarious romantic comedy that will touch your heart and cause you to roar with laughter as you escape into Rosie Bloom's attempt to write a romance novel.
Her bosom heaved at an alarming rate as his rough hand found its way down to her soft, yet wiry briar patch...
Can you say briar patch in a romance novel? What about breasts? Do bosoms really heave?
Goodness, I have no idea what I'm doing. I’m a virgin attempting to write a romance novel and I'm having an impossible time trying to write a passionate and swoon-worthy love scene worthy of being published, thanks to my lack of experience.
My two best friends encourage me to drop the pen, step outside my comfort zone, and gain some real life experience through multiple dating facets such as blind dates, online profiles, and random hookups. But losing my "flower" is proving to be much tougher than expected…
This is the story of my awkward, humiliating, and slightly terrifying life, but like all romance novels, I know it will end in a happily ever after. At least that's what I keep telling myself.
**WARNING: READ IN THE CONFINES OF YOUR OWN HOME DUE TO RANDOM OUTBURSTS OF LAUGHTER. IF YOU ARE ADDICTED TO CLIFFHANGERS, GETTING YOUR HEART RIPPED OUT OF YOUR CHEST AND FEELING LIKE A BULLDOZER JUST PLOWED THROUGH YOUR STOMACH, THEN THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR YOU. IF YOU LIKE PEEING YOUR PANTS AND CRYING FROM LAUGHING SO HARD, THEN PLEASE CONTINUE READING.
Review : I loved this book it was so cute and funny as fuck . So Rosie is a magazine writer who is trying to be a writer and she's also a virgin and her roommates Delaney and Henry tell her she needs to get out there and loose it . so she starts going on these dates and writing notes in a notebook but it doesn't go well first she kicks a guy in the crotch . Then she rips her pants on the second one . And in meanwhile her best friend Henry has been flirting more and more with her she has always had feelings for him but she knew She wasn't his type so why is he flirting with me she's thinking . Henry finally confesses his feelings to Rosie and ends up kissing her but she doesn't know what to do she doesn't want to ruin the friendship but she can't be without Henry . He ends up leaving for the weekend and she goes on this date with this guy with a dog and it didn't end well and she ends up going to her parents with Henry for brunch and then they go back to the apartment and end up having sex and it was great I love them together and then bombshell she receives a call from the guy she kicked in the crotch and then Henry gets hurt but Rosie didn't see that . And Henry ends up moving out and she's depressed until Delany and her Fiance trick her into going to Henry's place and leave her . They talk and they finally get together I really loved this book it was so cute and funny.
Quotes : There is a whole community out there who loves love, who loves romance, and I’m one of them. It’s a world I love living in, where there are happily ever afters, the odd girl gets the good looking guy, and where chivalry isn’t lost. I know it can’t all be true, that life isn’t as grand as some novels make it out to be, but I still love every single story because it’s an escape from reality, a moment in time where you can daydream of the impossible, where there is a chance of watching true love unfold right in front of you.”
